So you need to use calendar months when using a period within the year, this way your answer is understood by everyone else around the globe. When using your countries holiday period, you have to remember that not everyone lives in America and other countries exist outside of your not so free society. Holiday 2022 means December through to March in Australia. It's the same reason why a lot of people over there don't wish each other a "Merry Christmas!" but "Happy Holidays!". Why it's not simply "Christmas 2022" is quite logical if you know anything about American history and tradition (keyword: "religion" and "Thanksgiving"). If they would say "Fall 2022" they also wouldn't mean autumn in Australia. but that should actually be self-evident. If a US-based company talks about "holiday" respectively the "holiday season" it means the time between Thanksgiving and New Year. I understand a specific date might not be possible, delays do happen, but "Holiday 2022" means absolutely nothing. Summer break? December again, but then which hemisphere we talking? Queens Birthday long weekend Holiday? Where I am, that's in September. Which "Holiday"? WA day Holiday? That's in June. ![]()
